Description
The mausoleum is in the Kyzylorda region near the city of Zhanakorgan. The monument Kara Sopa is built in the middle of XVIII in, in the form of an octahedron with a hemispherical dome.
Monument height - 9 m. The mausoleum is one of the majestic monuments of architecture located in the territory of the Great Silk way and in this regard is included in the State list of historical and cultural monuments of Republican value. Kara Sopa's mausoleum consists of two rooms - an entrance part and the main kabyrkhana (grave room).
The room is blocked by the hemispherical dome which is based upon an octahedral drum. Designs of a Mazar are executed from the burned brick as all monuments of that period.
In the architecture of that time, it is possible to notice aspiration of architects to the creation of such monument that spirits of the died person were happy with the eternal house.
